Terms & Conditions

By booking with Jo & Gs Movers, the customer agrees to the following terms:

1. A $100 deposit is required to secure your booking, whether online or offline. This deposit will go toward your final bill. Full payment is due right after the move is completed.

2. We accept cash, e-transfer, direct deposit, credit and debit cards.
Credit & debit cards may have a small processing fee. If any fees apply, we’ll let you know before payment. Please note that card processing fees are non-refundable in case of a refund or cancellation request.

3. a. Charges are hourly. Moving outside Winnipeg requires paying additional add-on fees to cover for fuel surcharge and long moving transport expenses.

b. If you require any of our services outside Winnipeg, please contact us in advance to get an accurate estimate to avoid booking cancellations and unnecessary delays.

4. The hour starts to count when we arrive at loading location until when we have fully offloaded all required items and exiting the offloading location in Winnipeg. Transit hours back to Winnipeg will be charged for moves outside Winnipeg.

5. Clients must ensure access to all pickup and drop-off locations.

6. Items must be properly packed unless packing service is requested.

7. An inventory may be completed before and after the move for mutual protection.

8. Jo & Gs Movers is not responsible for delays caused by weather, traffic, or client issues.

9. Please secure items properly when packing, as Jo & Gs Movers will not be liable for damaged items when not properly secured and protected when packed by clients.  For extra peace of mind, you're welcome to arrange personal property insurance for your valuables.

10. Jo & Gs Movers ensures your items are properly secured, strapped, and protected on the van and in transit, which means 99% assurance of protection for your valuables.

11. To cancel or reschedule, please let us know at least 48 hours before your move. If notice is given later, the $50 deposit may be non-refundable.

12. Second Trip Clause:

In the event that the volume of items to be moved exceeds the truck's capacity, and a second trip is required, Jo & Gs Movers reserves the right to charge a second-trip fee. This may include additional hourly labor, fuel surcharge, or a flat-rate second-trip fee based on distance, time, and scope of work.

Clients are encouraged to provide a full and accurate inventory before moving day to help us plan accordingly. Second trip charges will be communicated and agreed upon before the additional trip is initiated.

13. All required forms and documents must be completed and signed before your moving date.

14. Right to Refuse

Jo & Gs Movers reserves the right to refuse service if:

• The delivery violates any local or federal laws.

• The customer is abusive or provides false information.

• The package appears dangerous, hazardous, or illegal.

Jo & Gs Movers may update these terms at any time. Continued use of our services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
